Chief Hill violated La. R.S. 42:1111A(1)(a) when he used the Town of Killian credit card for gas purchases, NRA membership, and the suit purchase. He also violated 1111A(1)(a) when he was compensated for hours not actually worked by the Town of Killian.

Mr. Hill has signed the Consent Order and paid the $500 civil penalty and made reimbursement to the Town of Killian.

La. R.S. 42:1111A(1)(a) provides that no public servant shall receive anything of economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office or position.

Adopt and publish the consent opinion and dismiss charges.
