Bonnie Duhon has served as a volunteer board member of the District for two years and it is likely the St. Mary Parish Council will reappoint her to a second term at its November 2019 meeting. Her husband, Mark Duhon, is a candidate for member of the St. Mary Parish Council in the October 12, 2019 election. If he is elected, he will take office in January 2020.

R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) states no public servant, or a member of such a public servant's immediate family, or a legal entity in which he has a controlling interest shall bid on or enter into any contract, subcontract or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
