Alvin Turner, Jr., District Judge, Ascension Parish, inquired whether the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act would allow him to use campaign funds from a fundraiser to retire a past campaign debt and use any excess contributions received from the same fundraiser for a future election.
Judge Turner is no longer interested in seeking an advisory opinion as his questions have already been addressed by staff.
