The West Baton Rouge Museum ("Museum") is funded by an ad valorem millage and has a cooperative endeavor agreement with the West Baton Rouge Historical Association ("Association"), a non-profit corporation, by which the Association owns the permanent collection of artifacts, art, photographs, and archives housed at the Museum. The Association maintains insurance on all items in the permanent collection. The Museum would like to transfer ownership of several recently purchased artifacts and pieces of art to the Association to properly track and maintain the items and to insure them under the Association's collections insurance policy.
