Request that the Board waive a $1,140 campaign finance late fee assessed against Robert "Rock" Davis, a candidate for Sheriff, Concordia Parish, in the October 12, 2019, whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 19 days late. |
|
Robert Davis request a waiver and states the following:
He was not informed by his campaign manager of the late filing until he received notification and inquired about it. At which time, his campaign manager told him that he would no longer be able to continue helping him with the campaign for undisclosed reasons. Subsequently, he was able to find someone else to submit the 30-P report immediately after informed of the problem and made sure that the entire remainder of his reports were filed on a timely basis. He sincerely regrets that this happened as he thought he had a loyal friend helping him. He sincerely would appreciate the board's consideration for a waiver or reduced fine.
