Charles S. Long is the City Attorney for the City of Donaldsonville.
Along with his son, C. Spenser Long, II, Charles S. Long maintains a private law
firm doing business under the name of Long & Long Law Firm. Mr. Long
would like to hire Tre' S. Sullivan as an associate with the firm.
Tre' S. Sullivan is the son of Leroy Sullivan, Mayor of Donaldsonville.
Tre' S. Sullivan would not perform any legal work associated with the
City of Donaldsonville, but would be legal work for Long & Long Law
Firm consistent with a practice of a general nature, such as Family Law,
Auto Accidents, and Real Estate Transactions.

La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) prohibits a member of a public servant's immediate family from bidding on or entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
La. R.S. 42:1114A provides that each public servant and member of his immediate family who derives anything of economic value from a person that is in any way financially interested in a contract, subcontract, or any transaction under the supervision or jurisdiction of the public servant's agency shall file annual statements disclosing income received from the person.
