Leigh Lissard is currently a teacher in the Lafayette Parish School system. She is interested in two outside additional revenue sources. First, she would like to act as an Amazon Affiliate, earning money from Amazon by promoting items on social media and collecting a portion of sales earned by click-throughs on her posts. Second, she would make homemade crafts and offer them for sale to co-workers.

La. R.S. 42:1111C(1)(a) prohibits a public servant from receiving any thing of economic value for any service, the subject matter of which is devoted substantially to the responsibilities, programs, or operations of the agency of the public servant and in which the public servant has participated.
