Request that the Board waive two (2) $1,000 campaign finance late fees assessed against Alvin "Shark" St. Pierre, Jr., a candidate for Councilman, District 1, St. James Parish, in the October 12, 2019 election, whose 10-G and 2019 Supplemental campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 61 and 112 days late, respectively. |
|
Alvin St. Pierre, Jr. requests a waiver for the 10-G and 2019 Supplemental reports and states the following:
He states that in his 23 years of public service, he has never accepted campaign
donations from the public or any other third party. This past election cycle was the first instance in
which he has accepted any campaign donations, which totaled $2,950.00. He did not have a clear
understanding of the filing requirements and any mistake which was made was certainly unintentional. He has disbursed all of the funds in his campaign account following his re-election, as he does not intend on running for public office after this term. He has always tried to be the best public servant possible and to abide by any campaign finance requirements for public officials.
