RE:
Request to release the Attorney General's Opinion in response to a request made by Louisiana Board of Ethics concerning its authority to execute consent opinions.
Facts:
At its April 15, 2011 meeting, the Board voted to request an opnion as to the Board of Ethics' authority to sign the order and decree in consent opinions. The Attorney General's Office has prepared a response and will release the opinion upon receipt of a request to do so from the Board of Ethics.
Recommendations:
Request that the Attorney General's Office releases the opinion.
