The Attorney General's Office has successfully had the Board dismissed from the ongoing lawsuit.

On September 10, 2010, Vincent Mark Castillo filed a petition against numerous defendants, one of which was the Board, based upon the Board fining him for a violation of the campaign finance disclosure act in 2007. The plaintiff failed to properly serve the Board. He has not attempted to rectify his improper service against the Board, and the time frame to have the petition served has elapsed.
The Attorney General's Office provided the Board's representation.
