RE:
Reconsideration that the Board waive the $1,600 late fee assessed against LA Assisted Living, a political committee whose 30-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with her request for a waiver of the $1,600 late fee assessed for the late filing of a 30-P campaign finance report, Lisa Comeaux, executive director on behalf of the committee, states that she is responsible for filing the committee's reports. She further states that she missed some key instructions related to reports required for contributions to candidates running in a primary or general election. She maintains that she did not realize that contributions the committee made in 2010 would subject them to additional reporting requirements in 2011. She asks that the Board waive the late fee, since this is their first delinquency and the committee made only one contribution of $250 during the time period covering the 30-P report.
