Request that the Board waive the $600, campaign finance late fee assessed against Barry S. Boothe, a candidate for Catahoula Parish Assessor, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose EDE-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 15 days late. |

In connection with her request for a waiver of the $600 late fee assessed for the late filing of an EDE-P campaign finance report, Nancy M. Kennedy, on behalf of the candidate, states that on October 26th, she received information from the candidate to prepare his final reports. She was instructed that the reports were to be filed on or before November 1, 2011. She maintains that when she read the filing instructions of the list of reports to be filed, she wrongly assumed that an EDE-P report was not due since the candidate had no expenditures. Mr. Boothe is a district level candidate. This is his first campaign. He was an unsuccessful candidate.
