Request that the Board waive the $480 campaign finance late fee assessed against Becky Craig, a candidate for Red River Parish Assessor, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 8 days late. |

In connection with her request for a waiver of the $480 late fee assessed for the late filing of a 10-P campaign finance report, Becky Craig, states her only opponent in the October 22, 2011 election withdrew from the race on September 12, 2011. She believed that the only report needed to be filed was the Affidavit in Lieu of Report, marked unopposed. It was not until she received notice from the Campaign Finance division that she became aware she was required to file a report. A report was filed immediately upon receipt of the notice. She maintains that because of the opponent's early withdrawal, she had no expenses. Ms. Craig is a district level candidate. This is her fifth campaign.
