RE:
Request that the Board waive the $1,000, $750, $480, and $180 late fees assessed against Nathaniel Williams, a candidate for Sheriff of St. Helena Parish, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose three (3) Specials and EDE-P campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 19, 14, 8, and 3 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $1,000, $750, $480, and $180 late fees assessed for the late filings of (3) three Specials and an EDE-P campaign finance reports, Nathaniel Williams, states that he mailed his Special reports and EDE-P report through regular U.S. mail. He further states that he misread the directions on the 48 hour special report and did not realize each individual contribution had a 48 hour deadline. Mr. Williams is a district level candidate. This is his third campaign. He was a successful candidate.
