Request that the Board waive the $240 and $400 campaign finance late fees assessed against Marshall Long, a candidate for Pointe Coupee Police Juror, District 2 in the October 22, 2011 election, whose EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 6 and 13 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $240 and $400 late fees assessed for the late filings of an EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance reports, Marshall Long, states that he is a first time candidate who was unfamiliar with the reporting schedule and filing dates. He maintains that his reports were untimely filed due to he misread the filing schedule. Mr. Long is an "any other" level candidate. He was an unsuccessful candidate.
