RE:
Request that the Board waive the $60 and $480 campaign finance late fees assessed against S. T. "Tom" Mangham, a candidate for Sheriff of Red River Parish, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 1 and 8 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $60 and $480 late fees assessed for the late filings of his EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance reports, S. T. "Tom" Mangham, states that a week after he qualified to run for Sheriff of Red River Parish, his mother became very ill. He further states that he did not withdraw from the election, believing that she would get better. He further states that his mother passed away on October 27, 2011. He now has funeral expenses to pay. He apologizes for the untimely filing of his reports and ask that the Board waive the late fees. Mr. Mangham is a district level candidate. This is his fifth campaign. He was an unsuccessful candidate.
