RE:
Request that the Board waive the $400 and $40 campaign finance late fees assessed against Daniel "Doc" Satterlee, a candidate for Ascension Parish Council, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose two (2) Special campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 10 and 1 day(s) late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $400 and $40 late fees assessed for the late filings of two (2) Special campaign finance reports, Daniel "Doc" Satterlee, states that he was informed by his report preparer of a potential problem with his report. He further states that he did not know that receipt of funds over $250 within 20 days immediately preceding an election, must be reported within 48 hours of the time a contribution transaction occurs. He maintains that the oversight was unintentional and ask that the Board forgive his oversight and waive the late fees. Mr. Satterlee is a district level candidate. This is his first campaign. He was a successful candidate.
