Jerrelda Drummer Sanders was an employee the New Orleans City Council, District E. She is also the Executive Director of Mother's Helpers Mentoring Company. The mentoring company has applied for a grant from Harrah's New Orleans Grants, a grant program regulated by the New Orleans City Council.

R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) prohibits public servants, their immediate family members, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from bidding on or entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of the public servant.
