Craig B. Mitchell, spouse of Kiana Aaron Mitchell, asks whether the Campaign Finance Disclosure Act or the Code of Judicial Conduct will prohibit him from soliciting contributions for his wife who will be a candidate for Judge in the November 6, 2012 election.

Section 1505.2(I)(5)(a) of the CFDA provides that no candidate nor the principal or any subsidiary political committee of a candidate shall use a contribution, loan, or transfer of funds received by such candidate or committee to make any payment or expenditure to any immediate family member of the candidate.
