RE:
Request that the Board waive the $240 campaign finance late fee assessed against Robert J. Guidry, a candidate for Acadia Parish Police Juror, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose Special campaign finance disclosure report was filed 6 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $240 late fee assessed for the late filing of a Special campaign finance report, Robert J. Guidry states he mistakenly misunderstood the reporting requirements for filing a Special report. He further states that he is a first time candidate and found the Candidate's Report forms complicated and at times difficult to understand. Mr. Guidry is an any other level candidate. He was a successful candidate.
