Request that the Board waive the $3,000 campaign finance late fee assessed against Louisiana Legislative Leadership, a political action committee, whose 40-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 27 days late. |

In connection with his request for a waiver of the $3,000 late fee assessed for the late filing of a 40-G campaign finance report, Kenneth E. Pickering, on behalf of the PAC, states that he and Treasurer, Kathy Lynn Honaker, have never been involved with a PAC before and were unaware that the PAC was required to file a 40-G campaign finance report for the run-off election. Mr. Pickering maintains that the only contribution made by the PAC was $1,000 to Representative Chris Leopold, a candidate involved in a run-off for State Representative, Dist. 105 in the October 22, 2011 election.
