Robert Jones states that he is a member of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board and employed with Wells Fargo Advisors. Wells Fargo Advisors is a non bank affiliate of Wells Fargo & Company. A matter came before the Gaming Control Board in which the company seeking a license from the Gaming Board uses Wells Fargo Bank as its lead banker. Mr. Jones recused himself from voting on the matter. Mr. Jones states that he has not received compensation from Wells Fargo Bank.

Section 1112 prohibits a public servant from participating in a transaction involving the governmental entity in which he or his employer has a substantial economic interest.
