Request that the Board waive the $400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Euris A. DuBois, a candidate for Chief of Police of the Town of Grand Isle, in the March 24, 2012 election, whose Special campaign finance disclosure report was filed 10 days late. |

In connection with her request for a waiver of the $400 late fee assessed for the late filing of a Special campaign finance report, Connie DuBois, on behalf of the candidate, states that she misunderstood filing requirements for filing the 48 hour Special report. She maintains that she was waiting to file one transaction 48 hours before the March 24, 2012 election date. She did not realize the filing requirement was for each transaction within a 48 hour period. Once she realized her omission, she contacted the Campaign Finance division, and was told to mail the report as soon as possible. Mr. DuBois is an any other level candidate. This is his fifth campaign. He was a successful candidate.
