In connection with his request for a waiver of the $420 late fee assessed for the late filing of a Supplemental campaign finance report, Allen Guillory, states that he did not receive a letter letting him know it was time to file a report. He further states that he only received notice stating that the Supplemental report was past due, and as soon as he received the notice, he immediately filed his report online. Mr. Guillory maintains that he is a truck driver working cross country. He is gone for 30-60 days at a time. For the past two years, his life has been upside down because of the August 1, 2009 election. He loves his community which is why he took a chance depleting all of his savings ($40,000)on the election. He is behind on his house, car, and his credit is ruined. He ask that the Board please waive the assessed late fee. Mr. Guillory is a district level candidate.

18:1505.4.A(1) Any candidate, the treasurer or chairman of a political committee, or any other person required to file any reports under this Chapter, who knowingly fails to file or who knowingly fails to timely file any such reports as are required by this Chapter may be assessed a civil penalty as provided in R.S.42:1157 for each day until such report is filed.
