Request that the Board waive the $250 and $1,500 late fee assessed against Charles McMains for failure to timely file two 2012 Lobbyist Supplemental Registrations. |
|
Mr. McMains filed his Supplemental Registration reports that were due by March 6, 2012, thirty days late on April 5, 2012 and due on April 6, 2012, five days late on April 11, 2012. He was assessed late fees of $1,500 and $250.
Mr. McMains states that incorrect start dates for several companies were listed by a new assistant. The new assistant assumed that the start date was to be entered on a monthly basis, rather than on the date of the contract or actual representation. Therefore, the information was submitted to the Board indicating a start date on the first of the month, which was incorrect. Mr. McMains has since trained the new assistant and he is confident that they will not have such problems in the future.
