Request that the Board waive the $240 and $280 campaign finance late fees assessed against Robert F. Zabbia, a candidate for Mayor of Ponchatoula, in the March 24, 2012 election, whose 30-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 6 and 7 days late. |

In connection with his request for a waiver of the $240 and $280 late fees assessed for the late filings of a 30-P and 10-G campaign finance reports, Robert F. Zabbia states that his 30-P report was untimely filed due to he was out of town in Nashville, TN awaiting the birth of his first grandchild. He did not expect to be in Nashville for that extended period of time and did not have the appropriate files at hand to prepare a report. As for his 10-G report, he assumed that because he filed an Election Day expense report and was elected in the primary, no other reports were required. It was simply an oversight on his part. He maintains that upon receipt of notice from the Campaign Finance division, he immediately filed his reports. Mr. Zabbia is an any other level candidate. This is his third campaign. He was a successful candidate.
