RE:
Reconsideration of a request that the Board waive the $540 campaign finance late fee assessed against James J. "Jimmy" Licciardi, Jr., a candidate for St. Bernard Parish Assessor in the October 22, 2011 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 9 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a reconsideration of a waiver of the $540 late fee assessed for the late filing of the 10-G campaign finance report, James J. "Jimmy" Licciardi, Jr. states that the late filing of his report was due to an oversight. He maintains that since he lost in the primary October 22, 2011 election, he believed that he was not required to file a 10-G campaign finance report. Additionally, Mr. Licciardi states that he did not receive a notice or warning that his report was due. Mr. Licciardi further states that he is unable to pay the late fee and ask that the Board waive the late fee. Mr. Licciardi is a district level candidate. This is his third campaign.
