RE:
Request that the Board waive the $400 campaign finance late fee assessed against Myron Matherne, a candidate for Assumption Parish Police Juror, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose EDE-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 211 days late.
Facts:
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $400 late fee assessed for the late filing of an EDE-P campaign finance report, Myron Matherne, states that he overlooked filing the report. He maintains that he did not have any expenditures on election day, and therefore, did not know that he was still required to file a report. Mr. Matherne is an any other level candidate. This is his fourth campaign. He was a successful candidate.
