RE:
Request that the Board waive the $1,200 campaign finance late fee assessed against Cynthia Willard-Lewis, a candidate for State Senate, 3rd District, in the March 24, 2012 election, whose 10-G campaign finance disclosure report was filed 12 days late.
Facts:
In connection with her request for a waiver of the $1,200 late fee assessed for the late filing of 10-G campaign finance report, Cynthia Willard-Lewis states that the late filing of her report was caused by an unusually demanding campaign schedule and a limited campaign staff. She states that she has extremely high campaign debt and the late fee exceeds her ability to pay. Ms. Lewis ask that the amount of the late fee be reduced, due to financial hardship. Ms. Lewis is a district level candidate. This is her twelfth campaign. She was an unsuccessful candidate.
