Request that the Board waive the $540 and $60 campaign finance late fees assessed against John Gordon Sorey, a candidate for Sheriff of Richland Parish, in the October 22, 2011 election, whose EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance disclosure reports were filed 9 and 1 day(s) late. |
|
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $600 late fee assessed for the late filings of an EDE-P and 10-G campaign finance reports, John Gordon Sorey, states that since he did not make the run off election, he thought that he was in compliance with all required reports. He maintains that his current salary is $2,400 annually and the fine would create a financial hardship. Mr. Sorey is a district level candidate. This is his second campaign. He was an unsuccessful candidate.
