Tatje Insurance is the agent of record for St. John Parish Sheriff's Office. Tatje Insurance employs Christine Duhe. Ms. Duhe's mother, Cheryl Millet, is a member of the St. John Parish Council. St. John Parish budgets some money to the jail for meals and other expenses.

R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) of the Code prohibits public servants, their immediate family members, or legal entities in which they have a controlling interest, from entering into any contract, subcontract, or other transaction that is under the supervision or jurisdiction of the agency of such public servant.
