Mr. Fitch states that he is the owner of a building construction firm and has been requested to do renovations to the Jeanerette Museum. He also a member of the Iberia Parish Council, District 11. The Jeanerette Museum is owned by the City of Jeanerette and operated by the Parish's Recreation and Playground District Board. The Jeanerette Museum renovations are to be paid for by a grant received by the City of Jeanerette. His firm would be paid directly by the City of Jeanerette.

Section 1113 of the Code prohibits a public servant or a legal entity in which the public servant has a substantial economic interest from entering into any contract, subcontract, or any transaction which is under the supervision of the agency of the public servant.
