Mr. Pedersen currently owns a public tag agency which issues license plates, conducts title work, and many other functions traditionally conducted by the Office of Motor Vehicles with the exception of issuing driver's licenses. The public tag agency is an individually owned business.
Mr. Pedersen soon anticipates buying a fifty percent ownership interest in his father's business - a wholesale automobile auction. The wholesale auto auction sells vehicles to automobile dealer and not the general public. The dealers do not register the vehicles, but rather sell the vehicles to customers who then register the vehicles. In Mr. Pedersen's capacity as a wholesale auto dealer he states that he would not recommend his public tag agency as a means to register vehicles for the customers of the car dealers nor would he suggest the use of his public tag agency for any other services the agency provides.
