Request that the Board waive the $800 campaign finance late fee assessed against Bridge PAC, a political action committee, whose 10-P campaign finance disclosure report was filed 4 days late. |
|
In connection with his request for a waiver of the $800 late fee assessed for the late filing of a 10-P campaign finance report, Erich Ponti, Chairman on behalf of the committee, states that he was unaware of the requirement to file a 10-P report and their report preparer had just been released from the hospital following major surgery. The committee had no activity, and so he did not think a report was required. Upon learning that a report needed to be filed, the report was immediately filed. Additionally, in February of 2013, staff requested medical documentation supporting Mr. Ponti's claim that their report preparer was ill during the time the report was due. No medical documentation has been received.
