Kevin Voisin served on the Terrebonne Parish Council until his term ended in January, 2012. His father, a longtime member of the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority (TEDA) Board, recently passed away. The Terrebonne Parish Council would like to appoint Kevin Voisin to fill his father's position on the TEDA Board. Pursuant to La. R.S. 33:130.252, TEDA Board members must be appointed by the Terrebonne Parish Council.

La. R.S. 42:1121A(2) states that no former member of a board or commission shall, for a period of two years, following the termination of his public service on such board or commission, contract with, be employed in any capacity by, or be appointed to any position by that board or commission.
