Dow/Angus Chemical is a sponsor for the luncheon and has purchased a table for the event. The featured speaker for the luncheon is U.S. Congressman Rodney Alexander. Tickets for the luncheon cost $25 per person for members and $30 per person for non-members.

La. R.S. 42:1111A prohibits a public servant from receiving any thing of economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental entity to which he is duly entitled, for the performance of the duties and responsibilities of his office and position.
Section 1123(13)(a) provides an exception which allows public servants to receive complimentary admission to a civic, non-profit, educational or political event, when the public servant is a program honoree, is giving a speech at the event, or is a panel member for discussion at the event.
