RE:
Request for an advisory opinion forwarded from the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General regarding Mr. Neil Lartigue, Chief of the Ville Platte Police Department, and whether his business may begin providing lawn services for the Ville Platte Housing Authority.
Facts:
Mr. Lartigue is the Chief of the Ville Platte Police Department. He owns a lawn service company doing business as K & N Lawn Service LLC. The Ville Platte Housing Authority announced they will take sealed bids on grass cutting services for the agency. Chief Lartigue's wife is employed by the Housing Authority.

Comments:
Chief Lartigue would like to withdraw his advisory opinion request.
Law:
Section 1113A of the Code prohibits a public servant's immediate family member or a legal entity of which the public servant's immediate family member has a controlling interest from entering into a contract under the supervision or jurisdiction of the public servant's agency.
Recommendations:
Allow for the withdraw of the advisory opinion request by Mr. Lartigue.
