Agency Tracking No. 2022-222 <br /> Page 3 of S <br /> 3. <br /> As Fire Chief, Mr. Hunt directed all fire suppression and emergency operations; set <br /> management policies,goals and objectives;prepared an operating budget;located grant funding;and, <br /> organized personnel management functions for the Flare Department. <br /> 4. <br /> During calendar year 2021, Christopher Hunt, in his capacity as Fire Chief of the City of <br /> Baker Fire Department, fraudulently entered overtime in the amount of 372 hours into the City of <br /> Baler Fire Department's payroll systems for which he did not perform any work. for the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> F <br /> During calendar year 2021, Christopher Hunt as Fire Chief for the City of Baker, earned <br /> overtime at a rate of $59.94 per hour. Therefore, the City of Baker Fire Department remitted <br /> $22,297.68 in overtime compensation to Christopher Hunt to which he was not duly entitled to <br /> reecive for the performance of his job duties as Fire Chief; <br /> I . <br /> PROVISIONS of LAW <br /> The following provisions of la.w are implicated by the alleged facts stated herein: <br /> (a) La.R.S.42-fe 1111A prohibits a public employee from receiving anything <br /> of economic value, other than compensation and benefits from the governmental <br /> entity to which he is duly entitled, for the perfon-ranee of the duties and <br /> responsibilities of his office or position. <br />
