5. <br /> Linda Musson served as the Charter School's Director/Principal between July 1,2016 until <br /> June 30, 2018. <br /> 6. <br /> On August 1, 2018, following her resignation from the Charter School on June 30, 2018, <br /> Linda Musson accepted employment with the Foundation as a part-time consultant. Due to her <br /> need to care for her grandchildren to permit her daughter to work, Linda Musson resigned from <br /> her part-time position as consultant two years ago. <br /> IV. <br /> PROVISIONS OF LAW <br /> La. R.S.42:1121A(1) <br /> No former agency head or elected official shall, for a period of two years following the <br /> termination of his public service as the head of such agency or as an elected public <br /> official serving in such agency, assist another person, for compensation, in a transaction, <br /> or in an appearance in connection with a transaction, involving that agency or render any <br /> service on a contractual basis to or for such agency. <br /> V. <br /> OPINION <br /> It is the opinion of the BOE that Linda Musson, in her capacity as the former part-time Director of <br /> the Charter School,violated La. R.S.42:1121 when she assisted the Giardina Family Foundation, <br /> for compensation, with the Charter School by performing the duties as liaison between Charter <br /> School and Nicholls State University and advising the Charter School Board on issues, changes <br /> and recommendations for academic improvement, within two years of the termination of her <br /> service as Director of the Charter School. <br />
