R.S. 42:1111(C)(2)(d)will prohibit <br /> you from receiving compensation from Coburn's for your services rendered as an employee of <br /> Coburn's. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> The Board concluded, and instructed me to inform you, that the Code does not prohibit Coburn's <br /> from rendering services, including the delivery of parts and supplies, to subcontractors of St. <br /> Landry Parish Government. Further, Coburn's is not prohibited by the Code from entering into <br /> transactions directly with St. Landry Parish Government. However, in the event Coburn's enters <br /> into such transactions with St. Landry Parish Government, you are prohibited by La. <br /> R.S.42:1111(C)(2)(d) from receiving compensation from Coburn's as an employee. <br /> This advisory opinion is based solely on the facts as set forth herein. Changes to the facts as <br /> presented may result in a different application of the provisions of the Code of Governmental <br /> Ethics.
