Ethics Board Docket No. 2020-499 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> served through the publication of this Consent Opinion. In light of his pending federal prison <br /> sentence, and the amount of restitution ordered to be repaid by Mr. Calloway to the Hospital <br /> following his release, the Board hereby adopts the criminal penalties and restitution imposed on <br /> Edward Calloway in the Middle District of Louisiana, United States District Court, without <br /> imposing a civil penalty pursuant to La. R.S. 42:1153. <br /> VI. ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Edward Calloway, in his capacity as an employee of the Hospital, <br /> violated Section I111A(1)(a) of the Ethics Code by virtue of his receipt of money from Hospital <br /> accounts totaling more than$400,000,that he was not duly entitled to receive for the performance <br /> of her duties as an employee of the Hospital. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Edward Calloway, in his capacity as an employee of <br /> the Hospital, violated Section 1112A of the Ethics Code by virtue of his participation in <br /> transferring money from Hospital accounts to his personal accounts. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the sentence of the Western District of Louisiana, <br /> United States District Court, and associated restitution, is hereby adopted and no additional civil <br /> penalty is assessed in this matter. <br />
