Ethics Board Docket No.2022-002 <br /> Page 6 of <br /> of BBR, violated La. R.S. 42:1117 by signing the contract which gave Ms. Muse-Morris a thing <br /> of economic value in violation of La. R.S. 42:1121 B(1). <br /> In this particular matter,the parties have agreed to resolve this matter amicably.Therefore, <br /> it is the conclusion of the BOE that the interests of the public and judicial efficiency would be <br /> served through the publication of this Consent Opinion with the imposition of a civil penalty of <br /> $1,000.00 against Christopher Tyson. <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Christopher Tyson, in his capacity as President and CEO of BBR, <br /> violated La. R.S. 42:1117 by signing the contract which gave Ms. Muse-Morris a thing of <br /> economic value in violation of La. R.S. 42:1121. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a $1,000.00 civil penalty, payable to the Treasurer of <br /> the State of Louisiana,is hereby assessed upon Christopher Tyson,and that in the event of a failure <br /> to pay,that suit may be filed to compel immediate payment of any balance due. <br /> [SIGNATURES CONTAINED ON FOLLOWING PAGES] <br />
