Ethics Board Docket No.2022-250 <br /> Page 4 of 8 <br /> economic interests which may be substantially affected by the performance or nonperformance of <br /> the public employee's official duty. <br /> V. <br /> OPINION: <br /> It is the opinion of the BOE that Teri Durst, in her capacity as a teacher at Youree Drive <br /> Middle School, violated La. R.S. 42:1111 C(2)(d), by receiving a thing of economic value for <br /> services rendered to Fleur de Lis Portrait and Design Studio while Fleur de Lis Portrait and Design <br /> Studio had or was seeking to have a contractual, financial, or business relationship with Youree <br /> Drive Middle School. <br /> It is the opinion of the BOE that Teri Durst, in her capacity as a teacher at Youree Drive <br /> Middle School, violated La. R.S. 42:1113A by entering into transactions that were under the <br /> supervision or jurisdiction of her agency, Youree Drive Middle School. <br /> In this particular matter, the parties have agreed to resolve this matter amicably. Therefore, <br /> it is the conclusion of the BOE that the interests of the public and judicial efficiency would be <br /> served through the publication of this Consent Opinion with the imposition of a civil penalty of <br /> $500.00 against Teri Durst. <br /> VI, <br /> ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDRED that Teri Durst,violated La. R.S.42:1111 C(2)(d),by receiving a thing of <br /> economic value for services rendered to Fleur the Lis Portrait and Design Studio while Fleur de Lis <br /> Portrait and Design Studio had or was seeking to have a contractual, financial, or business <br /> relationship with Youree Drive Middle School. <br />
