You are also conducting paid consulting and business development for Hunt, <br /> Guillot, and Associates ("HGA") for a set monthly fee. <br /> You also serve as the Executive Director of LEPA, a private non-profit organization. The position <br /> is currently non-paid. However, there may be potential funding and a monthly consulting fee to <br /> conduct the executive director function for the association. <br /> You ask whether you are allowed to serve as and receive compensation as Executive Director of <br /> LEPA while remaining as a consultant for HGA as well as potentially other private companies. <br /> LAw <br /> La. R.S. 42:1121A(1)No former agency head or elected official shall, for a period of two years <br /> following the termination of his public service as the head of such agency or as an elected public <br /> official serving in such agency, assist another person, for compensation, in a transaction, or in an <br /> appearance in connection with a transaction, involving that agency or render any service on a <br /> contractual basis to or for such agency. <br /> La.
