A transaction i <br /> involving the agency of a goverramental entity shall have the same meaning with I <br /> respect to the agency. � <br /> V. <br /> OPIIVION: � <br /> It is the opinion of tihe BDE that Ross Meche violated La. RS. 42:1113A when he <br /> submittec�a sealed bid on the surplus cargo trailer to the Town of Arnaudville while his brother ; <br /> Todd Meche served as Mayor of the Tawn, � <br /> As the Mayor of the Tnvcrn af Arnaud�ville,Todd Meche was an elected official and a public <br /> servant pursuant to La. R.S. 42:1102(9)and(19). Mayor Meche's agency,as defined by La.R.S. <br /> 42:1102(2)(a)(vi}was the Town of Arnaud�ille. <br /> As an immediate family member of a public servant Ross Meche was prohibited from <br /> submitting any bids that werc undar fl�e supervision or jurisdiction of his broi;her, Todd Meche's <br /> agency. Therefore, the Ross Meche vialated La, RS. 42:1113A when he submitted a bid and <br /> �ntered into the purchasc of the surplus cargo trailer from the Tovc�n of Arnaudville in April of <br /> 2023. <br />
