Ethics Board Docket No. 2023-996 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> Here,the parties have agreed to resolve this matter amica.bly,and it is the conclusion of the <br /> BOE that the interests of the public and judicial efficiency would be served through the publication <br /> of this Consent Opinion with the imposition of a$1,000 joint civil penalty against Ryker Anthony <br /> and Anthony's Tree Service, L.L.C. <br /> VI. <br /> ORDER: <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Ryker Anthony and Anthony's Tree Service, L.L.C. violated La. <br /> RS. 42:1113A(1)(a) by virtue of entering into a transaction with the Town of Kentwood, while <br /> Ryker Anthony's mother, Michelle Anthony, was serving as Town Clerk for the Town of <br /> Kentwood. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a $1,000.00 civil penalty, payable to the Treasurer of <br /> the State of Louisiana, be imposed jointly upon Ryker Anthony and Anthony's Tree Service, <br /> L.L.C., and that in the event of a failure to pay, a suit may be filed to compel immediate payment <br /> of any balance due. <br /> [Signatures Contained on FollowingPages] <br />
