Ethics Board Docket No. 2021-889 <br /> Page 11 of13 <br /> and after his promotion,in this particular situation,it is the conclusion of the Board that the interest <br /> of the public would be served by the publication of this Consent Opinion with the imposition of a <br /> $1,500.00 civil penalty against Keith Schroth. <br /> VI. ORDER <br /> For the foregoing reasons: <br /> IT IS ORDERED that Keith Schroth, in his capacity as LSUHSC-NO Vice Chancellor for <br /> Administration and Finance, violated La. R.S. 42:1111(A)(1)(a) by virtue of his receipt of <br /> supplemental compensation from November 1, 2020, to November 1, 2021, which Keith Schroth <br /> was not duly entitled to receive without proper authorization, for the performance of his duties as <br /> Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance of LSUHSGNO. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a$1,500 civil penalty, payable to the Treasurer of the <br /> State of Louisiana, be imposed upon Keith Schroth and that in the event of a failure to pay, a suit <br /> may be filed to compel immediate payment of any balance due. <br />
