For purposes of the advisory opinion, the
duties of a campaign manager would include: statistical analysis
of voting patterns in the district; selecting voting groups to be
targeted for contact; recruiting campaign volunteers; assigning
campaign volunteers for campaign tasks; preparing a campaign
budget; preparing a campaign strategy; scheduling appearances
by candidate; organizing media events; designing campaign
literature; purchasing campaign literature; recruiting, hiring and
monitoring election day workers; hiring and monitoring
campaign staff; hiring campaign consultants, and all other duties
customarily performed by campaign managers.
Due to the fast - approaching February 5, 1994 elections, it would be greatly appreciated if
you would forward a written ruling by November 1, 1993. Should you have any questions,
or need more information, please do not hesitate to call me at the above telephone number.
•
bp 95- He
l7 c. 6,13
