ETHICS BOARD RECD <br /> DEC 3'23 AM 11:06 <br /> LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF BYRON LEWIS BD NO: 2022-191 <br /> D/B/A GABRIEL LEWIS <br /> PHOTOGRAPHY <br /> The Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the Louisiana <br /> Code of Governmental Ethics (hereinafter referred to as the "Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. <br /> seq., and particularly Section 1141 of the Ethics Code, conducted a confidential investigation <br /> concerning information that Byron Lewis, in his capacity as Owner/Operator of Gabriel Lewis <br /> Photography,may have violated La. R.S. 42: 1113B by virtue of entering into or being in any way <br /> interested in a contract or other transaction with the Outreach Community Development <br /> Corporation D/B/A J.S. Clark Leadership Academy, while his father, Gabriel Lewis, Jr, serves as <br /> an appointed member of the Outreach Community Development Board of Directors. <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation, and with the concurrence of <br /> Byron Lewis,the BOE and Byron Lewis enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES: <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Byron Lewis, a person of the full age of majority,with a last known address of 318 <br /> N. Union Street, Opelousas, Louisiana, 70570. <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics, an agency of the State of Louisiana, whose <br /> mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70821. <br />
