LOUISIANA BOARD OF ETHICS <br /> CONSENT OPINION <br /> BD NO: 2022-060 <br /> RE: IN THE MATTER OF CHARLES CRAVINS <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics (the "BOE"), pursuant to the authority contained in the <br /> Louisiana Code of Governmental Ethics (the "Ethics Code"), La. R.S. 42:1101, et. seq., and <br /> particularly La. R.S. 42:1141, conducted a confidential investigation concerning information that <br /> Charles Cravins,in his capacity as District Attorney of the 27th Judicial District,may have violated <br /> La. R.S. 42:1112B(1) of the Ethics Code by virtue of participating in a transaction involving his <br /> governmental entity in which he knew his immediate family member, Donald Cravins, had a <br /> substantial economic interest. <br /> On the basis of information obtained during the investigation, and with the concurrence of <br /> Charles Cravins,the BOE and Charles Cravins enter into this Consent Opinion as follows: <br /> I. <br /> PARTIES: <br /> The Parties hereto are: <br /> Charles Cravins, a person of the full age of majority, domiciled in the Parish of <br /> St.Landry,with a last known address of 404 N.Court Street,Opelousas,Louisiana <br /> 70570; and <br /> The Louisiana Board of Ethics,an agency of the State of Louisiana, domiciled in <br /> the Parish of East Baton Rouge, whose mailing address is P.O. Box 4368, Baton <br /> Rouge, Louisiana 70821. <br /> H. <br /> JURISDICTION• <br /> 1. <br /> The BOE is an agency of the State of Louisiana domiciled in East Baton Rouge Parish. <br />
